Information we use

We process sign-in details, account and device identifiers, profile information, conversations and remembered details, feedback, purchase status, and technical logs. We use them to run and personalize Ossie, manage access, provide support, prevent abuse, and evaluate and improve replies. Our team may review conversations and feedback for these purposes.

Setup information, including your birthday and personality assessment, is saved on your device. Your gender answer is also sent to our servers. Messages and replies are stored on our servers so you can continue conversations.

Services that process data

• Apple and Clerk handle sign-in, including your name, email or Apple relay address, and account and device information.
• AI providers receive conversation text and relevant context to generate replies and check safety. Depending on the model, these can include GMI Cloud, OpenAI, Fireworks AI, Anthropic, and model providers reached through Vercel AI Gateway or OpenRouter. OpenAI may also receive an account-specific identifier for caching.
• When enabled, Supermemory stores conversation content and derived memories, and Braintrust receives diagnostic traces. These can include messages, replies, memories, feedback, and internal account identifiers.
• Apple transcribes speech on your device where supported; otherwise it may process audio on its servers. We receive the resulting text, not microphone audio. ElevenLabs receives reply text to produce spoken responses.
• Apple handles payments. When configured, RevenueCat processes purchase, account, and device information to manage subscription access. We do not receive your payment card details.

Hosting providers also process service data. Providers may process information outside your country. We may disclose information when legally required. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Retention & your choices

We keep account information, conversations, and memories until account deletion or a request for removal. During development, some conversation records and exported diagnostic traces may remain after in-app deletion; email us to request their removal. Diagnostic traces in our database expire after 30 days and are removed by daily cleanup. Provider logs, backups, and purchase records follow their retention schedules. Anonymous usage totals may remain.

Use Delete account in Account settings, or email [email protected] for access, correction, or deletion requests, including retained development records. Removing the app alone does not delete your account. Cancel any subscription separately through Apple.

Microphone and speech-recognition permissions are optional; you can revoke them in iOS Settings and use text instead.

Children, updates & contact

Ossie is not intended for children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information. We’ll update this policy as the app changes. For privacy questions, email [email protected].
